As many times as you can go through life and have opportunities to find that special someone,
You also have that many opportunities to pass up the ones that may mean the most,
The worst thing about moving on from something is that you never truly move on.
You look back, thinking about all the terrific things that you had,
Walks on the beach, staying up all night just to fool around.
Then without having a moment to second guess yourself
You’re already thinking of the things that went wrong.
Could it have been that hard to pay a little more attention?
How do you begin to wonder when things are going to get better?
When every thought or thing reminds you of her and all the great things you shared.
Hockey tickets, a bed, so much as an apartment.
The thought is even harder when you find yourself not wanting to move on.
Holding on to that thing that made you feel like you were on top of the world.
But holding on only puts you in a position where you lay in bed
Starring at the ceiling, thinking, is this really my life?
