pieced together a bundle of wood

Synthetically disrupt, where it has a unique but yet broken look, describing the efforts of someone that may feel the same, holey and loose. Where does the image place you, a museum, cove or a log cabin? Anywhere is fine, as if you can be lost without hope but still noticeably in charge of where you’re heading. In time, only you will allow to take yourself to where you can allow it, to be not a poser nor a leader for you are yourself. It really reminds me of how I disregard misleading and mysterious objects. The disruptive look gives a sense of craziness and makes you ask why? What was he thinking? Where did he create this?

tension

Caution, eyes piercing. The noticeable tension or awkwardness of being somewhat creepy is that it is mesmerizing or is it stalking. What looks are being exchanged or what looks are being shared? Are they lovers or are they strangers? What is there next move? Does he come forth towards her and is she going to accept his efforts? She walks away, not giving him the moment he is asking for. He begs and pleads for her forgiveness and so he remains persistent. A shriek, hair-standing cold chills come across your back. What could it be now? Now blind and out of site, what has happened?

deck

The unique spot I can think back to is the deck. A lot of people have placed a step; put a foot in on damaging one spot at a time. It was a spot where it brought two people together for a timeline in their lives, me and my father. I can think of all the good memories and the bad. Some of the good ones pertained to me and my friends hanging out having pool parties and just straight fun. Some of the bad contained two girls liking one person and both being on this spot at the same time. Boy were tensions high.

vacation days

Today reminded me of a day when I was on vacation, setting flight to Florida. Skies were blue and I couldn’t help but think of what it would be like if I were on vacation. Reflecting back to when vacation was affordable. The days now seem endless where there is no relief in sight. When will I be able to take a vacation? Work, school, work, school, it never stops. One day, I will look back and know that this was worth it and then I will be able to take as much vacation as I want.

love

Wearing a black pin-striped suit, staring
Setting his eyes on the rainy sky above
Tranced into deep thought, preparing
Step for step they shared their love
Rain seemed to race to the casket
Burial spot now filled with water
Splashing down like he’d made a basket
He remembers how he caught her
Like a fisherman reeling in the big one
Both clumsy, bodies hit, food everywhere
Now, standing there, everything done
Praying to got to take him there

What had happened

The man lived on a farm, where he carried a great life. Well-known, 14 years of marriage to an ex-model. Woke up every day at 5 a.m. since the day he returned from the war. He seemed to lose his mind when the death of his wife occurred. He was abusing his power as a veteran of foreign war, getting into places only he could with his VFW acknowledgement, by stealing and abusing people. He then moved out to his mothers, where he met up with his ex-fiancé. He then began to get better. More and more with time, she seemed to do him good. Then one day he came home to walk in on her with someone else. He lost it. Went to the basement and grabbed his stolen gun, came back upstairs and shot them both. He left town immediately and was never heard from again. The gun was traced back to a man, who had reasonable cause to be not suspected, and claimed that the gun had been stolen a couple of months back.

He was the kind of guy that...

He was the kind of guy that bitched
He was the kind of guy that walked away
He was the kind of guy that cheated
He was the kind of guy that stole
He was the kind of guy that dealt drugs
He was the kind of guy that quit every job possible
He was the kind of guy that sped
He was the kind of guy that had aids

High class

He looks, for a second, and ponders to himself. What kind of women would have an umbrella like that? One that looks like if sold could feed the needy easily. She seems to be high maintenance or of high elegance. She does not want to get wet, as if she would do anything to stay dry. She will go on, through all her rainy days, and be a pedestal of sight. Everyone can have as many thoughts as they want but she doesn’t care because she will not get wet, she will defy the odds and do whatever it takes to keep herself dry. Her, in her long coat and nice shoes, will be just fine.

stormy night

Walking back to my house, late at night, it was a 15 minute walk from smith hall to the house. All around me was hurricane-like weather. It was as if someone had made the “gods above” mad and they were seeking revenge on the North Country. I remember being about halfway home, down a side street, when this gust of wind made me some out of my deep thoughts to realize the surroundings. Looking up at a half-blown over tree right in front of me, as if it were destine to land on me had caught my attention real quick. Then another gust and noticing from behind that the street lights were now flickering as if I were in some thriller movie. The show stint of a storm was then over for me when I got back to the house, the storm could have been continuing but I had no attention for I was beyond tired.

creepy night

My morning

  1. Grabbed towel
  2. showered
  3. did laundry
  4. cleaned up beer
  5. rolled up windows in my car
  6. yelled at housemates for leaving them down
  7. took a quiz
  8. had a bagel
  9. associated with friends
  10. came to class

Party drama

It started last week. We had a party at our house, which around school is known as the soccer house. We expected a good turn out like usual. We were very fortunate and exceeded our own expectations. As the night went on some scuffles began to arise. It turned out to be more dramatic then I would have hoped for. I walked outside, shouting and pushing was all I could witness. Being a part of the house I went outside and got myself involved. Stepping in the middle of a battle I would have absolutely no influence in if they were to start throwing punches. There were five on one side and 7 on the other, with lonely me in the middle trying to stop this fight from happening. Ultimately I did a great job and I got the situation to resolve and we kicked everyone out.

Wierd wood

One day, while on vacation, we took a walk down a beach. We saw, off in the distance, pieces of wood that had floated up onto the shore. We collected some of the pieces and decided to build something out of them. How creative could we be? We built this little piece of art, words were unexplainable. We later built our art piece into our deck back home. It was a great project for the family, one to have everyone involved.

life and art

The relationship between life and art is that when people get old and look back onto how they led their lives, they sometimes wish they could have done it different. In art, people tend to show dramatizations of their lives or what they dream of. While in life, people can only wish or else change. Some people make their life art because it allows them to feel like they’re doing what they’ve always wanted to.

Endings..

Endings are put together to where they have the “ideal” ending to a story filled with tragedy or joy. In life, most outcomes are very real. As in most endings to a life can be a happy ending but at the same time it is a depression in someone else’s life. Questions are really unjustified to a question of how life is supposed to end. There is no wrong or right. In a sense that it can be said that it was a life full of excitement and tragedy but ends in a mood of happiness. As if their life had been complete.

Favorite Book

One of my favorite books to ever read that I could read over and over would be The Chamber by John Grisham. The Chamber is one of the most profound writing pieces available for readers to experience. It was listed as a number 1best seller and also a thriller that leaves you deep into the story as if you lived that life.

Passion, distraught, forgiveness

Passion filled the heart
Needing nothing but bare skin
She lays down to reminisce

Energy burst from his legs
Star-studded cleats race
One foot before the other

Emotions overcome his prideful manhood
Using a jersey for nothing but a towel
Wiping the tears from his gloomy eyes

Tree

Finding myself down 3 strokes behind the leader, I drove my ball down the right side of the fairway where the wind aided the balls flight path to this tree. A tree like no other, a tree with a bright red trunk and golden brown leaves. Where had this tree come from? How would you get another one like this?

joining

The Olympics are a time where different nations and cultures join at a select destination. With these many nations come many different languages as well. That is one reason why I think that it is odd that citizens of China are, in some places, being forced to learn English. I would think that they should be allowed to learn any new language that interests them, instead of just English. Although I find it odd, I also see why people are pushing for more to learn English. I also find it encouraging to see so many people take an interest in the English language. I think that seeing so many people trying to learn our language so we can better communicate is a great thing and will only strengthen our relationship with China. I think that seeing the Chinese people take an interest in our culture will only grow on us and you will start to see Americans take more of an interest in Chinese culture, more so than we already are.
China has a rapidly evolving economy that could someday lead the world and turn them in to the next superpower country ahead of the United States. Also, China and the United States are good trade partners and communication between the two countries is critical to maintain a long and healthy relationship. I think that both cultures need to learn the others language, but I do not feel that force is required. I think that people should need a general interest in something to do it.
To the poor English learners, I don’t know what I would be able to say. Like I said before, you shouldn’t be forced to learn new things, but instead have a mutual interest in what you are learning. I think that learning the language is a good opportunity for them, despite the way in which it’s occurring. This may also improve them in the workplace, especially if they have jobs that require them to communicate with English speaking people.
I think that taking a well organized approach to learning the English language is key. I don’t think the English language is one of the harder languages to learn in the world, but I feel that having a well, thought out, organized plan, can help you control the language better and faster. One thing that many people will learn is that all the time spent on grammar is, for the most part, a complete waste of time. A lot of the time will be spent communicating directly with people and they will understand what you are saying as long as you word it right. Writing to someone now-a-days is becoming less and less used. Although it is harder to write, rather than to speak, as long as you can get the point across in your message then many people aren’t going to have a hard time communicating with you.
With the way the world is evolving due to the internet and advances and technology, it is becoming easier and easier to communicate between people of different languages. I’m not sure exactly how people are being taught the English language, but I’m sure it is relatively strenuous, more strenuous then need be. If you talk to an American citizen and asked them what a good way to go about learning the English language would be, then they’d most likely tell you the same thing I have said. I wouldn’t say that there is any one way to go about it that is more successful than others.
I do have some tips that may be helpful in learning the English language. The first thing is the most obvious and evident when learning any language and that is repetition. Repeating the word correctly over and over again will not only help you pronounce it right but also help you learn its meaning? Another thing you could do is use the language you’re trying to learn more often in everyday situations. I remember in high school, we had a foreign exchange student from South Korea who wanted to master the English language and would only speak in English even if someone tried to talk to her in Korean. She had very fluent English and I believe that is one of the main reasons why. If you do use the English language around English born speakers, you might be able to pick up a few things as well. They might speak to you and use lingo you have never heard before and that is another way of expanding your knowledge of the English language. These are just some of the tools I tried to use when I was taking my foreign language in high school. I believe that they are so basic that anyone can use them for any language and be successful in it.

Certain History

History is driven by human ambition to achieve what one sets out for. How this ambition is achieved is how far one is willing to go and what they are willing to give up to gain this achievement. Going through these difficult processes is what makes all different kinds of webs. “A web is a set of connections that link people to one another. These connections may take many forms: chance encounters, kinship, friendship, common worship, rivalry, enmity, economic exchange, ecological exchange, political cooperation, even military competition.”
People convey many different interpretations on webs of humans. They have these different thoughts because many lack the understanding of how things were really developed or how things were really understood thousands of years ago. We can only get a projection of what was and how it could have been understood. The interpretations are gathered from sets of webs left behind. webs that are shared with the world to move forward and create new webs that are able to extend all across the world.
Simple webs can be created from family ties and later strung into the world by communicating and interaction with the outer society. These interactions create technology and all kinds of useful goods but not all is great. Some interactions create harmful chemicals and diseases, which, with the close communications that are evolving, create quick spreading of these diseases.

People created webs of interactions over 1 million years ago, where it can be traced back to where the Homo erectus had ways of communication through ways of writing and through dance rituals. Their communication of art was done through cave art. Cave art is a form of writing that was used on cave walls and was done with berry juices. The language that was used by the Homo erectus was done in way of pictures. These pictures were the first real finds of ancient web work of the human race. The Homo erectus created webs amongst them and later evolved into the Homo sapiens. Once the Homo sapiens started to establish themselves, they began to shape their local ecosystems. “The key innovation was the development of language to create symbolic meanings.” The symbolic meanings were being able to read and understand the meanings to talk things over, create names for objects, certain actions, and what situations they got themselves into. In having these ways of communication they started to create a more social and somewhat organized community. The communities that were becoming more social and organized were ones that could distinguish certain actions and their situations.
In the Human Era, which was approximately 40,000 years ago, knowledge that was gathered by the parents was transformed slightly for the new siblings. The new and slightly modified forms of movements and organization gave the new Homo sapiens greater brain capacity, which lead the communities to be stronger in larger numbers. One way that this was demonstrated was through song and dance. Song and Dance was a good educating tool along with a good building tool. These were good tools for communities because it led them to be more vocal and gather more meaningful phrases and words. As these dances and songs became more popular between the communities, the larger the community the stronger it became because it brought them together and closer as Homo sapiens.
Through the years of “community building” the tribes began having to fight for their places of territory and for the food that was gathered between different communities. A straight and right to the point phrase that would describe this would be Darwin’s Theory. Charles Darwin had a theory on life; it was “the survival of the fittest.” In comprehensible terms this means that the ones who can overtake or outlast the other competitors will be the ones who will survive the longest. This can be a measurement of strength or smarts. In the case of the ancient civilizations it was primarily both. Neither one could be used by itself without the use of the other. You could be smart in some cases but with the technology that they had back in their day, they needed to have strength also. They needed to be intelligent to defend by outwitting and also to advance their selves technologically.

Having different webs of interaction brings many different spurts of growth. One of these spurts is the growth of the webs. The webs grew through expansion and unity. With expansion and unity brought many different kinds of improvements in their lifestyles. The lifestyles at these times were not leisure like but suitable for their ways of life. With these new changes of interactions brought upon trade amongst communities. Through trade and new connections brought vast improvements in life.
Some of these improvements were better shelter, clothing, weapons, and transportation. The most important improvement that was made was the creation of fire. Fire became the most essential because it became a quick aid to their lives immediately. Fire provided cooked food, heat and also light. After having the ability to control light, they were able to do more for longer hours and expand their ways of life.
In the expansion of territory led to more trade. With the increase in trade, more supplies that were needed became available. Supplies such as new clothing and weaponry lead to more powerful and organized communities. Clothing became more established and more elegant. Weapons were created more powerful and became widely versatile. With these creations became new creations such as the means of transportation.
Transportation is one of the biggest movements in the Human Era. This became so important because it gave more power to those who had better means of transportation. The transportation supplied better trade and brought people closer together for all different parts of the world. It started out by foot and then progressed to horseback. As horseback grew weary new designs for horse and buggies became established. Although some are still around in the 21st century, the use was diminished after the technology of the automobile arose. Today in the 21st century, the automotive is the most used form of transportation.
Other ways that webs grew were that they created political systems. Political systems that would bring small communities together with larger communities and unite them as a whole to one set of land, to feed off together, work on together, and create life with together.

Different parts of the world took on many different challenges and many different social changes on the society. The webs that had connected these people to their history and their ties changed at many different parts; maybe their webs were being changed as they were being introduced. As a story is told, the story may not ever be exact because the story has been altered so many times that the truth is lost or twisted.

Days

where would days go, if you didnt have anything to look forward to? How long would they be without excitement? Who really knows... all you can ask for is to go out and live your days to the fullest and try to be someone that you can control and have no one else rule over your life.

A lime squeeze is sour

The disorientated foot came crushing down splattering sour lime juice everywhere
A large puddle is on the ground
And my face puckered unpleasantly
Body shots!
My turn is next
And were not sure what’s going on
How does bud w/lime taste
It tastes gross, but I don’t like beer
I’d rather have the hard stuff
James ate a lime squeeze and it was sour
He enjoys sour things. It reminded him of his mothers’ attitude
Was like scurvy, it was
A burning sensation, wishing that I had used a condom
Actually mean wishing that I had closed my mouth and not opened it for 2 few bucks, damn it hurts
I immediately got a canker sour
Hurts like hell when you get it in your cuts
That shit really sucks

The comeback

Looking forward to the season ahead, I was determined to be in the best shape of my life. When the first day of practice came upon me, I was the fastest out of everyone. I was proud of what I had done over the summer and was confident of my play of soccer.
I knew I was already the starter as a right defenseman, and it was hard earned. In the first game I was officially announced as the starter, I pulled both of my Achilles tendons. I had made a long run up the field, it was cold and I wasn’t quite warmed up yet. As the coach and I consulted about it, we came to the conclusion that I would have to sit out the whole year. There would have been a chance for me to come back but by that time we would have been in the playoffs and I would have had no game time experience. Throughout the season I tried to run, it was so hard though. I could barely walk. It was so painful it almost felt as if someone had cut my legs. It was so frustrating for me and I know that I had wasted a whole summer of working out, and a whole fall too, because soccer was my life. I started to watch the team progress and it just made me angry because I knew that if I were able to play we could have won games in a better fashion, maybe making the team more complete. It was agonizing for me to sit out the whole year and have to wait for my senior year. I really wasn’t sure if I was going to be able to play again, that’s how bad my leg hurt me. It may have been the hardest thing to watch my friends play soccer, playing not to their capability and in the end losing in the first round of the playoffs.
Having the injury the previous year, it was helpful for me to have the whole year off, in a way, to prepare myself for my senior year. When I came back, I was named the starter, not for any reason other than the reason that I had earned and deserved my spot back. To hear that I was the starter again from the coach brought me much excitement. The excitement lasted until we lost our first big game. I thought we were going to be good all year, but we weren’t. We were a big disappointment, finishing last in our league. We knew we could beat anyone; it was just a matter of when out team was going to come together and work as a team. We started off the season so bad, losing 4 of our first 5 league games. After reaching the midway point in the season we began to turn our season around, winning good games against good teams and creating good team unity. When playoff seeding came around we were fourth in our league and the way our league is set up, there are only 5 teams that make the playoffs and first round fifth place plays fourth place. We happened to be fourth place and so we had to play a play-in game. We won 3-1. With the victory, it meant we would have to play the first place team. The first place team happened to be tenth in the state for one of the best teams. We took the field for our second game which was versus the Ogdensburg Blue Devils. We knew this game was going to be the longest, toughest, most physical game we had ever played, but we were ready.
We started out the game okay, play went back and forth. We started to pick up the pace, controlling the ball with great charisma. Twenty minutes into the game we had scored. We had just scored against the best team in our league. Within 16 seconds, just 16, we had scored again. Those 16 seconds were a new section X record, which happened to be our league that we were in. It was amazing! We felt on top of the world, until they came right down the field and scored a goal. The game was a standoff until two minutes before the half. Maybe we were tired or maybe there true colors were shining, but they were just putting it to us. It could have been a tied game at halftime if it hadn’t been because of a great save that I had made. It just happened to be that I was in the perfect position. It was a corner kick which had lured our goalie out of the net. As he wandered out into the traffic, I stepped back towards the net, just to be safe. Happened to be that the ball ricocheted past the goalie and was headed towards the net but only to me, where I had the opportunity to head the ball over the goal. Saving us from going into the halftime all tied up.
We had so much momentum coming out of the second half, being up 2-1 and all. That quickly changed as they came out of the half with a goal scored within the first 25 seconds of the halftime. We were in such disbelief. We regrouped and maintained to play a tied game as both sides exchanged shots and possession of the ball. It came down to endurance, which the Blue Devils had more of than we did. It seemed to turn into a game where we couldn’t do anything but defend, as if we had 11 guys playing defense and none offense. It wasn’t until there was ten minutes left when the next goal was punched though. It was the Blue Devils. They had put themselves in a good position to score, controlling the ball and us. They had done it, and two minutes later they had scored again. We were all so disappointed and could not believe we had played the best game of the year, maybe our lives only to lose.
It had been a long season and we were proud of what we had accomplished. Our coach told us to hold our heads up high with pride because at least we left everything out on the field and left ourselves without the feeling of what-if. It was hard to finish the season with a loss in the first round of the playoffs but we were in the record books. We had nothing to be ashamed about. We played our best soccer when it mattered the most. That’s all I ever wanted, to play my last game and have it be my best.

Even the best isn't perfect

As many times as you can go through life and have opportunities to find that special someone,
You also have that many opportunities to pass up the ones that may mean the most,
The worst thing about moving on from something is that you never truly move on.
You look back, thinking about all the terrific things that you had,
Walks on the beach, staying up all night just to fool around.
Then without having a moment to second guess yourself
You’re already thinking of the things that went wrong.
Could it have been that hard to pay a little more attention?

How do you begin to wonder when things are going to get better?
When every thought or thing reminds you of her and all the great things you shared.
Hockey tickets, a bed, so much as an apartment.
The thought is even harder when you find yourself not wanting to move on.
Holding on to that thing that made you feel like you were on top of the world.
But holding on only puts you in a position where you lay in bed
Starring at the ceiling, thinking, is this really my life?

Better Off

There are so many things I would like to say
So many things I would like to do
I question if you would ever feel the same
The real question I ask is this,
Where did we go wrong?

You could give me all the answers,
But in the end, there’s always something.
Either I would do this wrong or that.
No one is perfect, why can’t you accept that.
In the end, I’m better off.

Back When

Off to war now
Trudging, stampeding, fighting ‘til the end
Some battles were easy and
No tools were required to tame
The tough, wide-ranged fur trappers
The nights of guns and screams, leaving me feeling
Mysteriously creepy
We put those who had fallen in
Three point child restraints
Everywhere you turned, you could see
The victim’s scarlet robe
Drenched in blood, reflecting
The tragedy to ‘sea’
Where it was hard to get
A sprinkle of laughter

What to remember

Memories are the shackles of life
The longer they remain, the sharper the knife
One day you’ll wake up to a life so grand
Tomorrow, you’ll fall asleep holding a new hand
Desperately the stars will light up the skies
Hoping to regain the love of our eyes
Where time is never your friend nor foe
But our hearts know nothing of the lies we sow
Honesty sways like the trees in the wind
Everyone confesses because we’ve all sinned
Cherishing the moments of our youth
Existing with guidance, searching for truth

How I found

Growing up I had some difficult times. I didn’t really have anyone to turn to. My father left my mother for her sister and ran away leaving me with my mothers’ god-awful wickedness. After that, my mother became somewhat promiscuous. She would have different guys over and they would do dirty, unspeakable things to me, that’s when I left.
I found myself on the road with nowhere to go and not really caring all that much. I had done my deeds helping the society strengthen itself by getting rid of some “trash.” I found myself upon the side of the road with this man who looks to be just like the others, asking me for a ride. “Do I need a ride?” I ask myself. Well, I did indeed need somewhere to head and my feet were somewhat sore.
We drove for a while mostly in silence because of me, mainly because I slept. When I awoke we talked, mostly asking questions about each other and stupid things of that matter. As I awoke again we were pulling over at this beat-up restaurant. It looked to be empty and out of use. I didn’t want to go in but being alone in the truck didn’t appeal to me either, so I went in with McRae. McRae was the man driving the truck. He was okay, nice in some ways but also strange to be out in the middle of nowhere with me. As we walked inside, I sat myself and waited for assistance. I spotted a jukebox and attempted to play a song. It wasn’t until after I had asked for money from McRae that I found that it was out of order. When the owner came out from the back room, he had said some perverted and disgusting remarks to me. So what did I do? I pulled out my gun and shot the owner, just like I had done before to others who had treated me the same way.
As McRae and I left the restaurant, he was in shock and at a loss for words. I told him to continue driving and that we were going to hitchhike after the car ran out of gas. I couldn’t take any chances on a gas station. Who knows what could happen there. Once we were to a point where I felt like it was safe to dispose of McRae, I told him to pull over. He was nervous. I could see it in his eyes and hear it in his voice. I was about to walk him into the desert as a tractor-trailer roared over the hill. It came rumbling towards us and as it got about 50 yards from us, McRae bolted. I let off a couple shots towards him. I was unsure if I had hit him. I checked the side of the road, but found nothing. I quickly went back to the car to retrieve a flashlight. I yelled and yelled hoping to hear something but heard nothing. Hoping that it was over with I started to walk down the road. Whatever I came across would be good enough for my brown bag and me.

Bye

I remember those days,
All we did was play.
Those days in the sun
We had so much fun!
Where did those days go?

Now all we can manage is a fight
Ones that let me know,
That you’re always right
Near the end with patience low,
No words needed, just turn and go!
